Just to tell you, when this was first tested in CnR games, it wasn't very successful. Here are some PROS and CONS based on what I thought about it.

PROS:

1. Laggers, even the biggest one on the planet, will drop the gold.

CONS:

1. You hit the guy with the gold, but as soon as you aquire the gold, you drop it.

2. If you hit a wall, pole or even the slightest object, guess what? You'll drop it.

3. It becomes very easy to damage out...

My suggestion is to play without the Easy Drop Mod. People didn't always have High Speed Cable/DSL & broadband, they played with lag all the time in Midtown Madness 2's first release years. They had to find other alternatives such as hitting the middle or front of the cars or even the air in front of the cars at high speeds. If they got frustrated and couldnt get a really bad lagger to drop the gold, they just didnt bother chasing him and camped for the golds. If you ever get frustrated and cant get someone to drop, think about the guy on the other end too. The guy on the other end has to use the same strategies to get you to drop too, you and the other player are always under the same conditions, unless of course, they have a lag mod, but that is highly doubtful, as the lag mod is hard to find just like this mod and the new Slidegamers/World Gaming Center Client prevent use of that mod with the Anti-cheat function in games with the "No Mods Allowed" setting. Take this advice from me, the poor dial-up user, _7_Skeeball_7_ who ranked up a truckload of CnR wins (410, as I type this) but was never credited as having any skill at all, banned temporarly from sg, harrassed & abused from here to kingdom because of my 56k, lag & shove-it-in-your-face atitude to those who never believed I had skill or even the potential to have it. But, despite I had terrible lag even in bus games, I rarely used "lag tactics". One is called the "lag hook" where you make a quick snap turn just when it seems you're going to slam right into 'em and send them flying without even touching them. Another one I like to call is called the "lag broom". Never really used this, but when I was really angry at someone, I used it on them. When guys are chasing you and seem close behind but not enough to make a hit, swerve your car left to right, right to left mindlessly using fast cars. It will make your oppenents go crashing into a wall or streetlight because it you appear closer to them and seem to hit them with the back of your car where you can't drop, but you really don't hit them to you. Its quite funny actually, watching the "lag broom" sweep your oppenents off the road in a rear view mirror. Another one is called "lag ghost" which is a souped up version of a fake turn where your oppenents appear to see you hit walls, which I didn't want to take a risk really hitting walls. I always believed I played fair because even though I had those advantages, I only used them once in a blue moon, sometimes by mistake. Everything else was fair, either it was in the game naturally or cheater's mode wasn't activated for my lag. After all, the MM2 recommended requirment for online gaming is 28k or higher. People have trouble describing what lag is and have lack of knowledge of the subject. But no matter what you say or do, some people will just continue to believe that some things just are not fair, and that is how it is. Well its your decision, no Easy Drop Mod or Easy Drop Mod. I'm just trying to get the unknown or forgetten lagger's side of the story across, its not oponionated, we're just an oppressed minority, you know. Heck I might just BE the minority, trying to go down nobly with all my pride and passion. But whatever you do, don't be an obnoxious, distasteful pig who always complains about lag, play for fun not to win. That is the main reason why some people stopped playing MM2, because of complaining. There is a big difference between real driving and Midtown Madness. Would you use everything you learned in driver's ed and drive responsibly in MM2 to beat the game? Hell No. Does everyone drive on the same side of the road? No. So the mirrors on your real-life car say "Attention: Objects in this mirror are closer than they appear". Well they shoulda put my quote on the mirrors of the Midtown Madness 2 cars in every copy of Midtown Madness 2 in the world:

"Attention High Speed Internet Users: Objects ARE NOT closer than they appear!"

and we can all agree with that!
