Here's a quick description of the steps required to convert an MM1 dash to
MM2. There are several assumptions being made:
- You have the permission of the, or are the, original designer of the dash
- You have the orignal MAX file
- You have the textures in a format other that DDS
- You know how to use ZModeler

If you cannot answer 'yes' to all of the above assumptions, don't bother
reading any further...

MM1 -> MM2 dash conversion checklist
===============================
1) Unzip 'baseMM2dash.zip' into your existing 'car_mycar' folder.
2) Delete all of the files in the 'car_mycar\geometry' folder that start
    with 'baseMM2car_dash'.
3) Delete all of the files in the 'car_mycar\texture' folder that start
    with 'baseMM2car_dash'.
4) Convert all of the dash's textures to 24-bit UNcompressed TGA files.
5) Place the TGA textures in the 'car_mycar\texture' folder.
6) Open the dash in Max and export as 3DS.
7) Import the dash's 3DS file into ZModeler.
8) Rotate in both front/back and left/right views until it looks right
9) Add a '_H:m' to the part names. Names that were originally longer that 8
    characters will need to be completed before adding the '_H:m'. For
    example, after import the 'speed_needle' object will be named 'speed_ne'.
    The final name for it should be 'speed_needle_H:m'.
10) Make the materials point to the appropriate TGA textures (the
    gear_indicator MUST use the 'gear_R.tga' texture)
11) Export as a PKG dash. (To get the gear_indicator to work, check the
    'multiple colors' box. 'Remove' _blue from the list. Change '_white'
    to '_R'. Change '_blue' to '_N' and 'Add to List'. Repeat for the other
    gears in this order 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, D )
12) Rename all tuning files. Replace 'baseMM2car' with 'car_mycar'.
13) Build the AR
14) Try it in the game
15) Tune it
16) Try it in the game
17) Tune it
18) Try it in the game
19) Tune it
( You get the idea ) :)

Notes
=====
- If you have any problems, please read the PKG filter readme in detail.
  There is a lot of good information in there.
- You should NOT name your car 'car_mycar'. That was for example only.
  However, I would like to maintain the convention of all car names
  starting with 'car_'.
