CarLoader : CarLoader is a program that keeps track of cars and tracks for Midtown Madness. I suggest getting this program (http://drive.to/carloader). The Volvo might not be compatible with CarLoader. If it isn't follow the following instructions. It will read the file as "(error) vp93_245.ar". To fix it, let it finish loading, then right click "(error) vp93_245.ar" and select "Change Name" and change it to "'93 Volvo 240 Wagon". Move the picture that's included in the zip to your CarLoader images folder. To view the picture, right click "'93 Volvo 240 Wagon" and select "View".

Recommended : 90-100% Physics, anything lower and the car's steering gets too sensitive and it may tip on two wheels.

Notes :
***************************************
This is a very famous car! It's known throughout the world! When someone says "Volvo," this is the car that first pops in most people's minds! This Swedish RWD car was introduced in Europe in '74, but it didn't arrive to the US until '75. The last year this car was produce was '93. They hardly changed much over the years, except for a few cosmetic changes. These things are built like tanks! People have said these are the safest cars in the world because of it.

Model : This MM re-creation has 3D mirrors, 3D bumper, 3D trim (a first!), 3D exhuast pipe, 3D wheels, 3D wipers, and recessed rear license plate. For such a very boxy car, this Volvo uses quite a lot of polys! It's over 1700 for just body_h! That's more than what I used for the '95 Ford Taurus SHO! And the SHO is a lot rounder than the Volvo in real life!

Sounds : The engine sounds are modified from MM2 cars. The idle sound is from the old Mini while the drive sound is a mixture of the Fastback and the London cab. I know it might seem annoying, but it's pretty accurate. The horn is from the Panoz GTR-1 in-game and it works well. If you have a problem with the sounds, turn off your speakers.

Tuning : The tuning is decent. It has some bodyroll, but still controlable. It's tuned well. Most of the time on curves, it handles like it's on rails! It does some cool sliding when the handbrake's engaged. It might take some getting used to the tuning. At lower physics setting, the tuning gets really wacky. It can do 0-60 in about 11.5 seconds (official time is about the same, maybe slower) and a top speed of about 105-115 MPH (official top speed is about the same). It has a 5-speed manual transmission standard and an optional 4-speed automatic. Since these Volvos are tanks, this MM version is a tank too. It'll take a lot to take it out of commission! One time, it took me 10 traffic light posts and a couple of El train supports to stop this thing!

Textures : Each color has it's own license plate (courtesy of the License Plate shack - http://www.plateshack.com/plateshack.html). The colors are a good selection. I've seen them in real life. The beige, silver, and medium blue are some of the classic colors from the earlier 240 models. The red, dark blue, and light blue are classic colors that came on the later 240 models. I don't know why people complain about the wheels. IMO, I think they look pretty good on '86-'93 models.

Dash : The dash is pretty good. It's the same quality as the GM H-Cars. They have some glare, but it's not too bad.

Known issues : Nothing of major concern. Might hit curbs once in a while. The taillights might look weird at night due to the fact one set is the default taillight while the other is a night texture.
