CarLoader : CarLoader is a program that keeps track of cars and tracks for Midtown Madness. I suggest getting this program (http://drive.to/carloader). The Toyota is not compatible with CarLoader. It will read the file as "(error) vp86camry2.ar". To fix it, let it finish loading, then right click "(error) vp86camry2.ar" and select "Change Name" and change it to "'86 Toyota Camry Beater". Move the picture that's included in the zip to your CarLoader images folder. To view the picture, right click "'86 Toyota Camry Beater" and select "View".

Recommended : 90-100% Physics, anything lower and the car's steering gets too sensitive and it may tip on two wheels.

Notes : This is the first generation of the Toyota Camry. It was introduced in 1983 as an '83.5 or early '84 model. It was brought in to compete with the Honda Accord. The Camry was available in either 4-door sedan or 4-door hatchback. They came with a 2.0L I4 Gas engine or a 1.8L or 2.0L Diesel. It came standard with an economy 5-speed Manual overdrive transaxle or had the option of a 4-speed Automatic transaxle. Because it's an '80s economy car, it was slow as a snail! This MM version contains the 2.0L I4 Gas motor. What I find ironic is that these cars are everywhere, yet no one bothers to take pics of them for the internet! I had very little pictures to work with (compared to other cars).

This MM re-creation has 3D mirrors, 3D bumper, and recessed rear license plate. The engine sounds are modified from the in-game New Beetle. I know it might seem annoying, but it's pretty accurate. The horn is from the Panoz GTR-1 in-game and it works well. If you have a problem with the sounds, turn off your speakers. The tuning is decent. It has slight bodyroll, but still controlable. It handles just like an '80s sedan. It's tuned well. Most of the time, it's most likely to understeer. It's really easy to drive since it's FWD. It takes some getting used to the tuning. At lower physics setting, the tuning gets really wacky. It can do 0-60 in about 12.5 seconds (official time is about the same) and a top speed of about 85-100 MPH (official top speed is unknown to me). The automatic transaxle is tuned with 4-speed. The manual is tuned with a 5-speed overdrive transaxle. That's why the revs drop down low in the 4-5 shift. Each color has it's own license plate (courtesy of the License Plate shack - http://www.plateshack.com/plateshack.html). The colors are quite fun. It comes with some really cheap hubcaps. The colors are the classic beater color (with an off-white color, multicolored doors, dirty windows, and duct tape repairs) and a Chinese food delivery scheme. I highly recommend not to call any phone number you see on this car. If you do, I'm not responsible for anything that happens to you. It is missing the badges on the back for three reasons. One is that it would have been too small and therefore result in a illegible smudge. Second is that I didn't find a picture that showed the badges. And third, the back is mirrored (except for the license plate). The dash isn't the best in the world, but it works fine. Because of the lack of pictures of the dash, I tried my best to hand draw it based off horrible angled and glared pics.

Known issues : Nothing of major concern. Might hit curbs once in a while.
