CarLoader : CarLoader is a program that keeps track of cars and tracks for Midtown Madness. I suggest getting this program (http://drive.to/carloader). The Pontiac is not compatible with CarLoader. It will read the file as "(error) vp89bonny.ar". To fix it, let it finish loading, then right click "(error) vp89bonny.ar" and select "Change Name" and change it to "'89 Pontiac Bonneville". Move the picture that's included in the zip to your CarLoader images folder. To view the picture, right click "'89 Pontiac Bonneville" and select "View".

Recommended : 80-100% Physics, anything lower and the car's steering gets too sensitive and it may tip on two wheels.

Notes : This is the first generation of the front wheel drive Pontiac Bonneville. It was downsized (in 1982) from the larger rear wheel drive models based off the Chevy Impala/Caprice to a RWD sedan and wagon based off the Malibu. I believe it frist switched to FWD in 1987.

This MM re-creation has 3D mirrors, recessed rear license plate, and 3D door handles (a first!). There's also a special selection screen model. The engine sounds are from a real GM 3800 V6. I know it might seem annoying, but it's pretty accurate. The horn is from the '68 Mustang in-game and it works well. The selection screen sound is a clip of "Praise You" by Fatboy Slim. If you have a problem with the sounds, turn off your speakers. The tuning is perfect. It has slight bodyroll, but still controlable. It handles just like an '80s sedan. Just tap the handbrakes (after getting to above 50 MPH and starting a turn) to get it sliding. If you start to oversteer, give lots of counter steer to correct it. It's really easy to drive since it's FWD. It takes some getting used to the tuning. It can do 0-60 in about 9 seconds (official time is around 9.5 seconds) and a top speed of about 105-120 MPH (official top speed is the same). The automatic transaxle is tuned with the overdrive gear. That's why the revs drop down pretty low in the 3-4 shift. The manual is tuned with equally spaced gears. I don't believe the Bonneville came with a manual transaxle. The colors are a good selection. They are the most popular (or most seen) colors. Beige is pretty standard '80s color. Come to think of it, all the colors on this car are '80s colors. I've seen at least one of each color of this car. The dash is OK, but not the best. If you complain, I challenge you to make a better one.

Known issues : At redline, the sounds can be heard looping. It also has a funky sound where the idle and drive sounds mix. IMO, reflections aren't symmetrical.
