CarLoader : CarLoader is a program that keeps track of cars and tracks for Midtown Madness. I suggest getting this program (http://drive.to/carloader). The minivans are not compatible with CarLoader. It will read the file as "(error) vp90kvan.ar". To fix it, let it finish loading, then right click "(error) vp90kvan.ar" and select "Change Name" and change it to "'90 Chrysler Minivans". Move the picture that's included in the zip to your CarLoader images folder. To view the picture, right click "'90 Chrysler Minivans" and select "View".

Recommended : 80-100% Physics, anything lower and the car's steering gets too sensitive and it may tip on two wheels. If you do use it under 80%, then be prepared to fall out of your seat laughing at the way it handles.

Notes :

It's basically a K-Car! Based on the Chrysler Corporations' famous compact. Almost all front wheel drive cars from Chrysler in the '80s were based on the K-car including the famous minivans. This Chrysler Town & Country was the "luxury" minivan. It had more class than the Dodge Caravan and Plymouth Voyager. It's equipt with a 3.3L V6 and it uses the longer "Grand Caravan/Voyager" chassis which was just an extended version of the K-Car chassis.

This MM re-creation has 3D mirrors, 3D rear wiper, 3D roof racks, 3D hood ornament, and hi-poly wheels. The horn is from the '68 Mustang in-game and it works well. If you have a problem with the sounds, turn off your speakers. The engine sounds are a mix of the in-game Cadillac, Mustang, and traffic car engine sounds.

Each van has it's own selection screen song. The Chrysler has "Slow Ride" by Foghat. The Dodge has "Just Push Play" by Aerosmith (a humorous reference to the song used for the Ram commercials). And the Plymouth has "Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap" by AC/DC (makes sense since these vans are unreliable oil burners).

The shocks are tuned to be like what worn out, 12-year-old shocks should be. Just try rounding a corner at high speeds. Each color has it's own license plate (courtesy of ACME License Plate Maker - http://www.acme.com/licensemaker/).

The Town & Country has two colors. Black and white. The black color scheme is the black from the original pictures I used (provided by Paul_7). The white is just there since that's the only other color I've seen these 1st Gen minivans. There are no plastic rocker panel moldings on the white scheme for several reasons. One is that the white textures are being shared with the other two vans and it'd look weird to have them. Another reason is that it's a pain in the butt to recolor the original black plastic textures to white.

The Caravan and Voyager has the same four colors. Red, Light Blue, Dark Blue, and White. I put that red in there because I have an ad for an '85 Caravan/Voyager that is red. If you look at the CarLoader picture (included int he zip file), that's the same ad that I have except I put the MM versions of the van on it. I also thought a red minivan would look cool. The light blue is pretty generic. I think Chrysler called this color "Gunmetal Blue." They used it on almost every car they made in the '80s. The dark blue is not as common, but it's still used on most '80s Chrysler vehicles such as the Dynasty/New Yorker, Aries/Reliant, Lancer/Lebaron, etc. And the white is another color I've seen these vans have.

Known issues : The roof rack seems to get screwed up with the Best Texture Filter on. I recommend to turn it off for best viewing quality. Some of the software render tex might be screwed up, but it works though. The wheels have the polys showing in the selection screen, but they're fine in-game.
