CarLoader : CarLoader is a program that keeps track of cars and tracks for Midtown Madness. I suggest getting this program (http://drive.to/carloader). The Caprice is not compatible with CarLoader. It will read the file as "(error) vpchevcop.ar". To fix it, let it finish loading, then right click "(error) vpchevcop.ar" and select "Change Name" and change it to "'91 Chevy Caprice CPD Cruiser". Move the picture that's included in the zip to your CarLoader images folder. To view the picture, right click "'91 Chevy Caprice CPD Cruiser" and select "View".

Recommended : 80-100% Physics, anything lower and the car's steering gets too sensitive and it may tip on two wheels. Reflections are pretty nice on this car thanks to RF_Speedy. :D

Notes : It's a Caprice! One of the most well-know vehicle in America. This car is usually used by the senior population, but is famous for it's fleet services as a taxi or cop car. In 1991, the Caprice came with a 5.0L V8 as the largest engine. I put a 5.7L in this MM recreation instead because it's more fun. ;)

This MM re-creation has recessed license plate area, 3D mirrors, and a raised portion of the hood. The sounds are from Vette_Pro's '95 Corvette ZR1 (same 5.7L V8 used). The horn is from the '68 Mustang in-game and it works well. The selection screen sound is from the game "Driver." If you have a problem with the sounds, turn off your speakers. The tuning is pretty good for a 2 ton car. The shocks are tuned to be slightly soft for the big car feeling. It powerslides really good. Just tap the handbrakes to get it sliding. If you start to oversteer, give lots of counter steer to correct it. It takes some getting used to the tuning. It can do 0-60 in about 7 seconds (pretty good for a 2 ton car) and a top speed of about 135 MPH (thanks to the big 5.7). Each color has it's own license plate (courtesy of ACME License Plate Maker - http://www.acme.com/licensemaker/). The color is a standard CPD paint scheme. It has an interesting dash. It's sort of like those cop shows on TV where they show the video fromt he camera mounted on the dashboard.

Known issues : There are some weird shading problems on the rear quarter panels. Sorry. The taillights wiggle around when damaged at night. The bottom is just black, no details. There are some cracks in the dash. Just ignore them. The rear wheel shows up thru the fender at a distance using the V-cam. Try and take your screenshots closer to the car.
