Description:

This is modeled from scratch after a miniature model of a 68 corvette (1:25) made by monogram (I don't know if I need any permission, but I couldn't find an email address on their site). It is very accurate to a real corvette, in terms of size and proportions. The sounds are from a 69 corvette.

Tuning Modification:

Since it is a clearly a custom 68 corvette, it performs much better than a stock version. The top speed record for a 68 corvette (that I could find) was 212mph in the straights, and I also found another 68 corvette that races regularly which had a top speed of about 180, so I tuned my car to 186 mph. The gear ratios and rpm speeds are all done by me (probably the only part which I didn't get any help on). The actual car would probably have about 700 horsepower, but i added a couple more, after reading that midtown horsepower is slightly less than real life, just to give it a better feel. I haven't taken into account the addons to engine or the gas when calculating the weight. I left it at 3070, how much the stock version weighs. The sounds were left alone other than changing file names. Other than damping, turning, the dash and the info file, the rest of the tuning files were left alone.
